Racing in a Storm
The remnants of Hurricane Matthew made for some very wet racing this Columbus Day weekend at F1 Outdoors in East Bridgewater. Despite the torrents of rain and high winds on Sunday, Blake finished in first place in Race #8 of the 2016 season for the F1 Outdoors Club. The wet track caused a lot of slipping, sliding and drifting. Huge puddles wreaked havoc with the kart's engine but also allowed for some big splashes! Blake worked with his racing coach Tom P. to keep his kart rolling and adjust his racing style for the wet weather, and it all paid off.
